What happened
MalwareTips, a security-news site, reviewed Aplhl.lovable.app in October 2026 and concluded that it is a gift card scam. The page puts a famous retailer's name and a big gift card headline in front of visitors, with a claim button. The retailer is not involved: it does not run, approve or fulfil the offer, and its name is used to borrow trust. The page is hosted on the Lovable app platform, which is not accused; its free hosting is being used by the page's operators.
How the scam works
MalwareTips found that the page's claim button does not lead to the retailer. It opens a tracking link on linkthem.net, an affiliate-network domain, which logs the operator's affiliate ID and the offer chosen. From the first click the visitor is a lead being sold.
Pages like this keep each step sounding harmless: give an email address, answer a few questions, complete a few "recommended deals". The deals stay vague until the visitor is inside, and then include paid trials, credit applications and other offers. Advertisers pay the operator for each email address, survey answer and completed offer, and a share of each payment reaches the page's owner. A real retailer's own gift card giveaway would never require paid trials or credit applications.
The page names no company, address or support contact, so nobody answers for the card. A small "not affiliated" line in the footer does not change that. MalwareTips also notes that the same affiliate ID often appears across several domains, which suggests one operator running many pages at once. However many steps the visitor completes, no card is sent.
