These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Scammers.com (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Scammers.com is a public-interest scam-awareness resource. It lets people look up phone numbers, websites and other details others have reported, share their own experiences, and read news and investigations about scams. The Site provides general information only. It is not legal, financial or law-enforcement advice, and it is not a substitute for reporting a crime to the police or the relevant authorities.

Reports describe what a person or a public source says happened. A listing, report or article on the Site is not a finding or statement by Scammers.com that any person or business committed fraud or any other wrongdoing. Reports marked "Unverified" have not been reviewed.

Articles about criminal or civil cases describe allegations made by prosecutors, regulators or other parties. People charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court, and civil allegations are not proven unless a court or regulator finds them so.

We work to keep information accurate and up to date, and we cite official sources where we can. However, scammers change numbers and websites constantly, phone numbers and websites can be spoofed, and cases develop after we publish. We do not guarantee that any information on the Site is complete, current or error-free. Always verify information independently before acting on it, and contact organizations through their official channels.

When you submit a report, message or other content ("User Content"), you agree that:

• it is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge, and based on your own experience or on a public source you identify;
• you will not submit content that is false, defamatory, harassing, hateful or threatening, or that invades anyone's privacy;
• you will not post private personal information such as home addresses, government ID numbers, account numbers or passwords, or information about children;
• you will not submit content to harm a competitor, to extort anyone, or to promote a product or service;
• you have the right to share it, and it does not infringe anyone's copyright or other rights.

You keep ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant Scammers.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, review, edit for clarity, length, safety and accuracy, publish, display and distribute it in connection with the Site.

We may review, edit, decline, remove or label any User Content at our discretion, including to remove personal information or unsupported accusations. We are not obligated to publish any submission, and we do not endorse User Content.

If you believe something on the Site is inaccurate, out of date or unfair, or that your information is listed in error, please contact us with a link to the page and an explanation. We review every request. We may correct, update, anonymize or remove content, or add a response. Content based on official records is usually updated rather than removed, for example to note that charges were dropped or a case was resolved.

You agree not to misuse the Site. This includes attempting to access accounts or systems without permission, scraping the Site in bulk or in a way that degrades it, submitting automated or spam content, interfering with security features, or using the Site for any unlawful purpose.

The Site links to official sources, news reports and other third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content. Some reported websites may be dangerous, so do not visit or enter information on a site listed as a suspected scam.

Apart from User Content and material credited to others, the Site's text, design, illustrations and logos belong to Scammers.com. You may share links and quote brief excerpts with attribution. Please don't republish whole articles without permission.

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scammers.com and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or any User Content.

You agree to indemnify and hold Scammers.com harmless from claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from User Content you submit or your breach of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
