What happened
MalwareTips describes Cosyfest.com as a high-risk dropshipping store, part of a scam network operating near-identical stores with copied templates, product photos and return policies that reopen under new names. It says very low quality items arrive looking nothing like the ads, returns must be shipped to China at the buyer's cost, and partial refunds of 15-30% are offered. MalwareTips says the domain was registered on August 16, 2023 and its URL scanner gives it a Safety Score of 15/100, rated Dangerous. It advises not to buy.
How the scam works
Dropshipping networks like this run many near-identical stores at once. They share the same template, product photos and return policies. When one store collects too many complaints, the operators simply reopen under a new name. Social media ads with huge discounts bring in shoppers. Orders are filled with cheap items sent from overseas warehouses, and tracking that shows 'delivered' is then used to resist chargebacks.
When buyers complain, the stores usually require returns to be posted to China at the buyer's own cost, which can cost more than the item. They often offer a partial refund of 15% to 30% to keep it instead. Accepting can make a later dispute harder. MalwareTips advises reverse-image-searching product photos, looking for the same policies on other stores, and paying only with methods that offer buyer protection, such as a credit card or PayPal. File a dispute promptly if an order doesn't match its description.
