What happened

MalwareTips reports an Emirates first class subscription scam that promotes a false premium-flight package through emirates-skyoffer.xyz, which is not an authorized Emirates offer. The page advertises ten First or Business Class flights at $300 per flight valid for a year with unrestricted routes. Registration asks for name, mobile number and email address, then payment-card details. Emirates is the impersonated brand and is not accused. MalwareTips notes no ticket issuance or verified recurring billing schedule was established.

How the scam works

MalwareTips describes a premium-travel bait. A link to emirates-skyoffer.xyz promises ten First or Business Class flights at $300 per flight, valid for a year with unrestricted routes. Multiplying ten by $300 gives $3,000, but MalwareTips stresses that this is arithmetic, not a verified checkout total or price from the page.

Registration asks for a name, mobile number and email address, then moves to payment-card details. A page can show the airline's name while sending card data elsewhere, and a failed or abandoned checkout doesn't prove the data wasn't transmitted. The page could not be captured during the review, so the flow comes from the report.

Emirates is the impersonated brand and isn't accused. MalwareTips did not establish that any ticket was issued or that a recurring billing schedule exists, so the 'subscription' label shouldn't be taken to mean a monthly debit. Emirates itself warns about impersonation that seeks card details and Skywards information.

Red flags

  • A 'subscription' for ten First or Business Class flights at $300 each.
  • An address such as emirates-skyoffer.xyz that isn't Emirates' site.
  • Unrestricted routes and a year of validity at a tiny price.
  • A sign-up that asks for contact and then card details.
  • No way to confirm the offer from the airline's own website.

If you were targeted

  1. 1Don't register on emirates-skyoffer.xyz or enter card details.
  2. 2Check offers only on the airline's official website or app.
  3. 3If you entered card details, contact your card issuer and watch for charges.
