What happened
In a fake website alert posted on X on October 13, 2026, the account CyberPulse (@CyberPulse56) flagged sufficient-fuchsia-xladabqy-dp4x3gicjgie.edgeone.dev as a suspicious site impersonating India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP). The post classified it as government impersonation and potential phishing targeting users in India.
How the scam works
India's real National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal is cybercrime.gov.in, and the national cybercrime helpline is 1930. Fake versions of the portal target people who have already been scammed and are trying to report it. Such pages typically collect personal and banking details, and can be used to ask for "processing" or "recovery" fees.
Sites built on free hosting subdomains such as edgeone.dev can be created quickly and replaced when blocked, so new addresses often appear.
Note: this report is based on a short public post on X. The "How the scam works" section describes how this type of scam generally operates; it does not add details about this specific site beyond what the post says.

Red flags
- A government portal address that does not end in gov.in (the real NCRP is cybercrime.gov.in).
- Free-hosting subdomains with random strings in them.
- Any request for fees to file a complaint or to recover lost money.
If you were targeted
- 1Report cybercrime only at cybercrime.gov.in or by calling 1930.
- 2Do not enter bank, card or identity details on the listed site.
- 3If you did, contact your bank immediately and report it through the official portal.
- 4Be wary of anyone offering to recover money for an upfront fee.
