What happened

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) added Weinvesta to its Warning List of unauthorised firms on 19 October 2026. The FCA says Weinvesta is not authorised or registered by it and may be targeting people in the UK. The contact details the FCA lists for the firm are the website https://weinvesta.com/, the email address support@weinvesta.com and the telephone number 7460017724 (as written by the FCA); it also lists a London E6 address. The FCA cautions that unauthorised firms may give incorrect contact details, including addresses and phone numbers that belong to other businesses or individuals, so the listed address is not repeated here as an identifier. People who deal with an unauthorised firm have no access to the Financial Ombudsman Service and are not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. The FCA advises checking any financial firm on its Firm Checker before dealing with it.

What the warning means

The FCA says almost all firms and individuals must be authorised or registered by it to carry out or promote financial services in the UK, and that this firm may be providing or promoting financial services or products without its permission. It advises avoiding the firm and being wary of scams.

Anyone who deals with an unauthorised firm will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service if they want to complain, and will not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if things go wrong, so it is unlikely they would get their money back if the firm goes out of business. The FCA adds that people who sent money to a fraudster on or after 7 October 2024 may be covered by reimbursement protections introduced by the Payment Systems Regulator.

The FCA also warns that firms on its list may give incorrect contact details, may change them over time, and may use details that belong to another business or individual so that the information looks genuine. It recommends dealing only with authorised firms and using the FCA Firm Checker to confirm that a firm is authorised and has permission for the services it offers. The FCA's Warning List can be searched for other unauthorised firms and individuals.
