What happened

Norway's Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet) warned on 16 October 2026 that it has received information that the online trading platforms Altvecto, TradeInch and TradeToday are being marketed to Norwegian consumers. None of the platforms is authorised to provide investment services in Norway, so the services offered through their websites are neither supervised nor authorised by Finanstilsynet.

Finanstilsynet advises investors not to enter into agreements with, or transfer funds or other assets to, Altvecto, TradeInch or TradeToday. The warning names the platforms but does not list their web addresses.

How the scam works

According to Finanstilsynet, the platforms are marketed through social-media advertisements that appear to contain endorsements or recommendations from well-known individuals and established financial institutions. People who respond are then contacted by individuals presenting themselves as investment advisers, who encourage them to open an account and deposit funds. Information received by Finanstilsynet also indicates that investors may be asked to install AnyDesk, software that lets someone else take remote control of their computer.

The public figures and institutions shown in such adverts are being misused and are not involved. Finanstilsynet urges particular caution with any firm that promises high returns, uses aggressive social-media marketing or asks you to install remote-access software, and recommends checking that a firm holds the necessary authorisation before transferring money or signing an agreement for investment services.
