What happened
On 29 October 2026 the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) added 'globalsynergy.ch' to its warning list of companies and individuals that may be carrying out activities requiring authorisation without being authorised by FINMA. FINMA lists the website www.globalsynergy.ch and an address given as Zug, and notes that the entity is not entered in the commercial register. FINMA's remarks state that the website is not related to the legitimate company Global Synergy WM SA in Zug, which is registered in the Swiss commercial register. FINMA gives the register number CHE-450.599.653 for that company.
How the scam works
FINMA's warning list names companies and individuals that may be carrying out activities that require authorisation without having it. An entry is a public caution; it does not describe how the site operates or whether anyone has lost money. Sites like this usually present themselves as wealth-management or investment firms, quote an address in a Swiss canton such as Zug, which has many real financial and crypto businesses, and ask visitors to register or send money. Here the website is globalsynergy.ch and the address is given only as Zug.
FINMA's remark separates the website from a registered company with a similar name. A website that uses a .ch address can look more Swiss than it is, so the register entry matters more than the domain. Anyone unsure should look up the firm in the Swiss commercial register, check FINMA's list of authorised institutions and contact the firm through details found independently.
Nothing in the entry suggests that Global Synergy WM SA has done anything wrong.

Red flags
- A finance site that claims a Swiss base but is not entered in the Swiss commercial register.
- An address given only as a canton or town (Zug), with no street.
- A .ch web address that closely resembles a registered firm's name.
- Cold calls, emails or ads promising investment or wealth-management services.
- Requests to pay deposits or fees before a service starts.
If you were targeted
- 1Check the commercial register and FINMA's authorised-institutions list before engaging a Swiss provider.
- 2Do not rely on a .ch domain as proof that a firm is Swiss or supervised.
- 3Do not send money, crypto or ID documents to globalsynergy.ch.
- 4If you paid, tell your bank, keep records and report to the police and to FINMA.
- 5Treat offers to recover lost money for an upfront fee as another scam.
