What happened

FINMA added the website kanz-group.ch to its warning list on 28 October 2026. The regulator says the site is not connected to the genuine KANZ Investment Services SA in Morges, which is a different, authorised company. FINMA's warning is that the operators of kanz-group.ch may be carrying out activities that need authorisation without having it. The real KANZ Investment Services SA is not accused of anything; its name is being used without connection.

How the scam works

The pattern here is called "clone" or "impersonation" fraud. The operators of a website use a name similar to an authorised firm, or copy its details, to appear legitimate. A person who checks the regulator's register may find the real firm's entry and conclude that it is safe, without noticing that the web address differs. The scammers then offer investments or trading services, ask for deposits and show fake returns. Later they block withdrawals and ask for fees.

FINMA's own note stresses that the site is unrelated to the genuine company, which is why it lists the real firm's name and location. The warning is a reminder to check not just the name of a firm but its exact web address, contact details and the way you were approached. The regulator's register shows the real contact details of an authorised firm; call the firm on those numbers to ask whether the website or the person who approached you is theirs.

People who invested through kanz-group.ch should stop sending money and gather their records. A firm that insists you pay more before you can withdraw is a major red flag.
