What happened

On 26 October 2026 the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) added 'riverfieldcapital.ch' to its warning list of companies that may be providing services without the authorisation required by FINMA. The entry gives a domicile of Zollikon. FINMA states that the provider is not related to Riverfield AG in Zollikon, a genuine company registered in the commercial register, so the website appears to be using a name similar to a legitimate business. FINMA's warning list includes firms it believes may be carrying out unauthorised activities.

How the scam works

FINMA's warning list is a regulatory notice. The entry says the named companies are not authorised and may be carrying out financial market activity without the licence they require. It does not describe how the site approaches people or whether anyone has lost money, so nothing is claimed here about particular payments or victims.

The detail that matters is the name. FINMA's remarks say that www.riverfieldcapital.ch is not related to Riverfield AG in Zollikon, which is entered in the Swiss commercial register. Using a name close to a registered company can make an unauthorised website look established, because a search for the name finds a genuine business. The entry gives an address in Zollikon, but FINMA says the site is not entered in the commercial register and has no link to the registered firm.

Riverfield AG is the real company named and is not accused. If you are asked to deal with a provider using this name, confirm the firm's identity through the commercial register and its own official contact details, not through links or numbers the other side supplies.
