What happened
Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) Limited issued a press release on 2 November 2026 alerting its customers and the public to a fraudulent website at uafhk.duesdezx.us.cc/fubon, which the release gives in defanged form. Fubon Bank says the site has absolutely no affiliation with the bank's official website, www.fubonbank.com.hk. The release includes screenshots of the fraudulent site, and says the bank has already reported the matter to the Hong Kong Police Force and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
How the scam works
The release does not explain how the fraudulent site works or how people reach it. What it does give is advice for anyone who may have used it. If customers are concerned that they have disclosed personal information to the fraudulent website, or conducted any transactions through it, they should contact Fubon Bank's Integrated Customer Service Hotline and report the matter to the Hong Kong Police Force.
The address puts the bank's name only in the path, /fubon, on the unrelated host uafhk.duesdezx.us.cc.
A fake bank page is generally built to look like the real sign-in screen and to capture a customer's username, password and one-time codes, which are then used on the genuine site to move money. The domain is a clear sign: the bank's real address is fubonbank.com.hk, and anything on a different domain is not the bank. The safest approach is to type the official address into the browser or use the bank's app, and not to follow links in emails, texts or messaging apps.
