What happened
Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) added the website lomgbridge.com to its Alert List as a suspicious website on 20 October 2026. The SFC states that the website is not associated with Long Bridge HK Limited, a corporation licensed by the SFC; the real licensed firm is not involved.
What the warning means
The SFC lists 'suspicious websites' on its Alert List when it believes a site may be offering investments that do not exist or copying a real financial firm. In this case the address, lomgbridge.com, differs from the name of the licensed firm by a single letter ('lomg' instead of 'long'), a common trick to catch people who type quickly or glance at a link. The SFC states that the website is not associated with Long Bridge HK Limited, which is licensed by the SFC, so the real firm is not involved.
The SFC says dubious websites may offer too-good-to-be-true opportunities, such as pre-IPO shares in made-up companies at large discounts or funds promising guaranteed multiple returns. Others are fraudulent copycat sites that imitate reputable financial institutions to persuade investors to send money or to collect personal information that can be used for later scams. The SFC's advice is not to respond to investment offers on websites unless you are sure the entity is legitimate. To reach a licensed firm, use the contact details shown on the SFC's Public Register of Licensed Persons and Registered Institutions, or type the firm's known address yourself instead of following links from adverts or messages. An Alert List entry is a regulatory warning, not a court finding.
