What happened
On 16 October 2026 the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong (SFC) added https://fosunholdings.com to its Alert List as a suspicious website. The SFC states that the website is not associated with Fosun International Securities Limited, which is an SFC-licensed corporation.
The domain uses the Fosun name, but according to the SFC it has no link to the licensed firm. Fosun International Securities Limited is not involved; anyone who wants to deal with it should use the contact details on the SFC's public register rather than this website.
How the scam works
The SFC says suspicious website operators often use names similar to legitimate companies to confuse investors. Dubious websites may offer too-good-to-be-true investment opportunities that do not actually exist, such as pre-IPO stocks of fabricated companies sold at huge discounts or funds with guaranteed multiple returns. Others are fraudulent copycat websites imitating reputable financial institutions to lure investors into parting with their money or disclosing personal information that fraudsters can later use to swindle them.
The SFC advises not to respond to investment website offers unless you are sure the entity is legitimate, and to check its Public Register of Licensed Persons and Registered Institutions, using the contact details listed there rather than those on a website you were sent.
Note: the SFC entry does not describe what this website offered or how it reached investors; this section reflects the SFC's general guidance.
