What happened
MalwareTips published an investigation on 1 November 2026 warning that Roblox.com.kz is a fake store built on a copied catalog. It says the site takes its product photos, descriptions and branding from real brands and stores, none of which runs it, and lures shoppers with sponsored Facebook, Instagram or TikTok ads offering steep discounts, countdown timers or “closing sale” banners. MalwareTips also reports that 17 of 92 security vendors on VirusTotal flag the site as malicious or suspicious. MalwareTips found that roblox.com.kz was registered on 25 November 2025 and that its URL scanner gives the site a Safety Score of 21/100, rated High Risk. Roblox is not involved; the site only uses the name in its address.
How the scam works
MalwareTips describes how buyers are caught. The copying can go as far as menus, guides and “free returns” badges that look identical to the real ones, and a brand's official shop does not sit on a newly registered domain. Such stores usually offer a contact form or a generic email and little else: no phone number, no live chat and no local address for returns.
According to MalwareTips, buyers at copycat stores typically see a catalog that belongs to someone else and little chance of getting their money back. The returns page often hides the real rule, such as sending items back to China at the buyer's own cost, beneath a headline that sounds generous. A refund offer may be only about 20% back to keep the item.
MalwareTips' advice is not to buy from roblox.com.kz or enter card details at its checkout. If you already paid, it suggests gathering the order confirmation, product page and emails, contacting your card issuer or payment service quickly to ask about a dispute, and watching your statement for other charges. A shopper can check a brand by going to its official website directly, and looking up how recently a domain was registered.
