What happened
In a post dated October 23, 2026, MalwareTips says mgmcasinos.cc is a fake crypto casino. MalwareTips says mgmcasinos.cc was registered on October 11, 2026, and is built from the same site kit as dradtkings.com, relprize.com, crowncoinsasino.com and chumbaasino.com, which it has already exposed as scams. According to MalwareTips, such sites are promoted with promo codes through TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Discord and Telegram, sometimes with false celebrity endorsements; they credit a large bonus balance at sign-up and show looping 'recent wins' feeds, then block the first withdrawal until the player makes a new crypto deposit labelled as a verification, activation, network or security fee, with further demands after any payment. MalwareTips advises not to deposit, never to pay a fee to unlock a withdrawal, and not to grant wallet permissions. No operator identity or victim losses are stated in the source. The domain contains the name 'MGM', but MalwareTips does not link the site to MGM Resorts or BetMGM, and nothing in the source suggests either company is involved.
How the scam works
MalwareTips says sites like this rarely appear in search results. Promo codes spread through TikTok clips, YouTube ads, Facebook and Instagram posts and messages in Discord and Telegram groups, usually with screenshots of huge payouts, a bonus worth thousands and a "limited time" warning. The lobby borrows its look from well-known crypto casinos, leans on words such as "blockchain", "decentralized" and "provably fair", offers familiar games such as Crash, Plinko, Mines, dice and slots, and runs constantly moving "recent wins" and "withdrawals" feeds. Claims of celebrity backing (names such as Elon Musk or MrBeast are common) have no credible evidence behind them.
Sign-up takes seconds, with no identity or address checks, and some sites push visitors to connect a crypto wallet instead; MalwareTips warns never to approve those permissions. The promo code credits a large bonus, often $2,000 to $10,000, and early wins are common. When the player tries to withdraw, messages appear such as "Withdrawals are locked until verification is complete" or "Minimum deposit required to withdraw". The site or its support chat then asks for a fresh crypto "verification deposit", commonly $100 to $500, sometimes called an activation fee, network fee, security deposit or wallet validation. Paying leads to new demands (a higher verification tier, a VIP upgrade, a tax on winnings) and excuses such as "your withdrawal is pending" until support stops replying. The payout never arrives.
