What happened
MalwareTips published a warning on 3 November 2026 saying that Velario Exchange is named in a post on the public Telegram channel of Polar Tensor, an investment platform. According to MalwareTips, a 31 October post on that channel announced an update call for 6 November and a planned Velario Exchange launch on 15 November. MalwareTips warns that Velario may be a relaunch of Polar Tensor under a new name. Scammers.com does not state that Velario is a scam; MalwareTips says the launch was still only a proposed date.
How the scam works
As described by MalwareTips, the channel posted on 29 October that it was investigating trading anomalies and had temporarily closed new deposits, without explaining the affected trades or customer balances. The 31 October post then announced the update call, said it would cover evaluations, the current situation and an action plan, and set the Velario Exchange launch date after security testing. MalwareTips stresses that a launch announcement is not evidence of repayment and that, as of its report, 15 November was only a proposed date.
MalwareTips also points out that Hong Kong's SFC lists Polar Tensor among suspicious virtual-asset trading platforms, with an alert added on 7 August 2026, and that Quebec's AMF warns it is not authorised to solicit investors there. It says a new launch does not transfer or create any regulatory permission, and that an old balance moved into a new dashboard is not the same as money returned. It says the article does not establish that Velario has demanded a migration fee or imposed particular conditions. Scammers.com already lists a separate report on Polar Tensor's withdrawal problems.
Its advice is not to send new money to a Velario offer in order to preserve or recover an old Polar Tensor balance, to keep the original offer and payment history separate from any new account, and to keep complete wording of any waiver, settlement or migration terms before accepting. It also advises checking any claimed permission against the real operator and the activity offered in your location. These are MalwareTips' findings and have not been verified by scammers.com.
