What happened
According to a MalwareTips investigation published October 15, 2026, Membets.pw is a newly created fake crypto casino copied from an established scam kit. MalwareTips reports the domain was registered on October 11, 2026, three days before its check, and that the site uses the same kit as mgmresorts.pw, mgmwin.pw, mgmlasvegas.cc and casino-usa.info, all previously exposed by MalwareTips; the homepage carries the reused kit's 'Mem Bets' pitch. The MGM-named .pw and .cc domains are not official MGM Resorts sites, and MGM Resorts is not implicated. The site is promoted via TikTok-style videos, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and chat groups with promo codes for 'free' credits, typically $2,000 to $10,000 registration bonuses, and falsely implies backing from celebrities such as Elon Musk and MrBeast. When users try to withdraw, the site demands an additional 'verification' deposit, commonly $100 to $500, and anyone who pays faces further charges. MalwareTips advises not depositing funds.
How the scam works
The scheme is promoted through short TikTok-style videos, YouTube ads and creator-style videos, Facebook and Instagram posts and chat groups, offering a promo code for a 'free' registration bonus, often $2,000 to $10,000. Sign-up takes seconds, the bonus appears at once, and the user plays games such as crash, slots, plinko and dice, often seeing early 'wins'. 'Live' feeds of players online, big wins and cashouts are typically scripted.
When the user asks to withdraw, the site says withdrawals are locked until the account or wallet is 'verified' and demands a deposit, commonly $100 to $500, described as a verification deposit, activation charge, network fee or security payment. MalwareTips says anyone who pays soon faces further charges. Legitimate platforms deduct disclosed fees from a withdrawal; they don't ask for a separate deposit to release funds.

Red flags
- A promo code for thousands of dollars in 'free' crypto just for signing up.
- A deposit demanded before you can withdraw.
- Claims that Elon Musk, MrBeast or other celebrities back the site.
- No named operator, licence or jurisdiction.
If you were targeted
- 1Don't deposit money, and don't pay any 'verification' fee to unlock a withdrawal.
- 2If you've paid, stop paying, keep records and transaction IDs, and report it to your crypto exchange, the FBI at ic3.gov or your national fraud agency.
- 3Be wary of 'recovery' services that contact you afterwards promising to get your money back for a fee.
