What happened
The Ontario Securities Commission's October 14, 2026 investor warnings and alerts release lists Risance Ltd. among companies not registered in Ontario to deal or advise in securities. The OSC's investor warning for Risance Ltd. (dated September 29, 2026) states the firm, found at Risance.com, is not registered in Ontario and lists an address at 175 Bishopsgate (One Exchange Square), EC2A 2EH.
How the scam works
The OSC issues investor warnings about possible harmful or illegal activity in progress and keeps a warning list of companies and individuals whose activities may pose a risk to investors. Being on the list means the firm is not registered to deal or advise in securities in Ontario.
Unregistered firms often use prestigious London business addresses to appear established. Investors who deal with unregistered firms lack the protections that come with registration.
Note: the OSC notices do not describe how this firm approached investors; this section describes the general risk.
