What happened

On 6 November 2026 the Japanese security researcher @masaomi346 posted on X that farbetv.eu.cc was distributing Android malware disguised as an app called lustvoll TV. The post, using #Phishing, #フィッシング詐欺 and #malware hashtags, linked to a VirusTotal analysis of the sample and included screenshots of the download page. The domain is not an official lustvoll TV distribution channel.

How the scam works

The screenshots show a dark, Japanese-language video preview page branded lustvoll TV with buttons to download the app as an Android APK directly from the site. A pop-up explains that the APK will download and asks the visitor to follow on-screen installation guidance, with a button to agree and download. Installing an app this way means Android must be told to allow installs from unknown sources, which bypasses the checks that official app stores apply.

Adult and video-streaming lures are a common way to push people into side-loading. Malicious Android apps spread like this have commonly been reported to request accessibility or SMS permissions, read one-time codes, overlay fake login screens on banking apps or send further scam links from the victim's phone. The researcher identified the file as malware and shared its VirusTotal entry so security tools can detect it.

Anyone who installed the app from farbetv.eu.cc should switch the phone to airplane mode, uninstall the app, check Settings for any accessibility or device-administrator rights it was given and remove them, and change important passwords from another device. Banks should be told if codes may have been exposed. The domain and sample come from the researcher's post and have not been independently checked by scammers.com.

Red flags

  • A video or streaming site offering its app only as a direct APK download.
  • A pop-up telling you to download and follow on-screen instructions to install.
  • A request to allow installs from unknown sources.
  • An app that asks for accessibility, SMS or device-administrator access after install.

If you were targeted

  1. 1Install apps only from Google Play or the Apple App Store, never from a website link.
  2. 2Keep the Android setting that allows installs from unknown sources switched off.
  3. 3If you installed the file, disconnect the phone from the internet, uninstall it and remove any accessibility or device-administrator permissions.
  4. 4Change important passwords from a different device and tell your bank if SMS codes may have been read.
  5. 5Report the link to your mobile carrier or national cyber reporting service.
