What happened

A report on Signal-Arnaques, a French-language scam-reporting site, says that cliffordmarkets.com is a fake online shop that copies the design and logo of the French retailer ManoMano. ManoMano is not involved. The original report is dated 24 October 2026, and further comments were added on 30 and 31 October 2026 saying the site copies ManoMano's design. According to the reporter, the site offered a woven rattan chair for 64.10 euros, a price the reporter says is far below the real price of such a chair. The site also showed four different prices and contained spelling errors.

How the scam works

The reporter says the order was placed and a card payment of 64.10 euros was taken on 24 October 2026. The buyer said the card payment was taken under a different merchant name rather than the site's name, and no confirmation email or delivery followed. The reporter also says the card issuer blocked the transaction and that personal data was collected at checkout.

This pattern is typical of fake shops: a familiar brand's look, a very low price on a single product, and a payment that does not obviously match the site. When the charge appears under an unrelated name, the shopper cannot easily connect it to the seller, which makes disputes harder. A confirmation email and tracking details are normal after a genuine order; their absence is a warning.

On 31 October 2026 scammers.com checked public blocklists and found cliffordmarkets.com listed on both the Phishing Army list and the CERT Polska list of malicious domains. A listing is a warning flag from those services, not a court finding. Anyone who reached the site through a social-media ad, a search result or a message should treat it as unsafe.

If you were targeted

  5. 5Report the site to Signal-Arnaques or the French Signal Spam / cybermalveillance.gouv.fr channels.
