What happened

On October 15, 2026, Germany's financial regulator BaFin warned about offers on the website euramcoassets.ltd. BaFin says it suspects the unknown operators are providing crypto-asset services without authorisation.

Contrary to the operators' claims, BaFin says there is no connection with the EURAMCO Group based in Aschheim, Germany, and describes the website as a case of identity misuse. The genuine EURAMCO Group has no connection with euramcoassets.ltd or the services offered there; its name is being impersonated. BaFin's notice is issued under section 10(7) of the German Crypto Markets Supervision Act (KMAG).

How the scam works

BaFin's notice is short and does not describe how the site approaches investors. Alongside the warning, BaFin, the Federal Criminal Police Office and the state criminal police offices warn generally about online financial fraud and urge people to be extremely careful and research thoroughly before investing money online.

In identity-misuse cases like this one, operators borrow the name of a real, established company so that a quick online search turns up a genuine business and makes the offer look trustworthy. The domain, however, is not the real company's.

Note: this section describes the general pattern; the BaFin notice itself only states the suspected unauthorised crypto-asset services and the identity misuse.
